CONSTITUTION OF THE
THE Assembly of Conservative-Based Nations
1-0-0 NAME
The name of the party shall be known as:
1-0-1 NAME (Ammendment - March 19/2004)
The Assembly of Conservative-Based Nations (ACN)
The name shall be known to include Definition 2-0-0-a.
2-0-0 DEFINITIONS
a. The "ACN"; "UDA" "U.D.A"; "The United Democratic Alliance Party of 10000 Islands "; "United Democratic Alliance"; "Democratic Alliance"; "United Alliance"; "The Alliance"; "The Assembly of Conservative-Based Nations"; "A.C.N."; "the party"; are known as the official shortform of the official party name;
b. “AIP” is the Agreement in Principle on the establishment of the The United Democratic Alliance Party of the 10000 Islands Region signed by the Leaders of the The Democratic Alliance Party and The United Conservative Alliance Party of 10000 Islands;
c. "Annual General Meeting" or “AGM” is the official meeting of the Leader, Deputy Leader, Council and Members of the UDA.
At the AGM, the Members will elect Members to serve for a term of 3 Months as either the Leader, Deputy Leader and Council.
Members may be nominated prior to the AGM by the Council, Deputy Leader or Leader. Or be nominated on the floor at the AGM.
The AGM must be held at least once every term (3 months) and may be held within a weeks notice by the Council. to the membering states;
d. "Council" or "the Council" is the collective members of Aldeers, Deputy Leader and Leader selected by the AGM to manage the affairs of the UDA, subject always to the direction and provisions set out in this Constitution. The Council will allow both founding membering states of the AIP, known as Founder(s) to automatically sit upon each Council, with full rights of an Aldeer until the respective Founder sees fit;
e. "Candidate(s)" is the person(s) selected by the Members of the UDA as the UDA Candidate(s) for election to the 10000 Islands Senate and/or United Nations Delegate;
f. "Aldeer" is any member of the "Council" who is elected by the AGM;
g. "Executive Committee" is the committee by that name established under "Article 8 - Officers and Executive Committee";
h. "Nomination Papers" are those documents that the UDA deems necessary to be filed by a member of the UDA prior to that member becoming a declared Nomination Contestant for the Council, Deputy Leader, Leader, United Nations Delegate and Senate;
i. “Nomination Contestant” is an individual that has been approved by the Party to compete for the position of candidate;
j. "Member" is a Member of The United Democratic Alliance Party of 10000 Islands;
k. "Officer" is a Member holding the position of Leader, Deputy Leader, Founders;
l. “Interim Council” or “IC” is the body responsible for the implementation of the Agreement in Principle. Held by the Founders and up to two (2) Additional members.
m. "Returning Officer" is an individual approved by the UDA Council to oversee the election process at a meeting of the AGM called for that purpose and in accordance with the provisions of this constitution or other direction as may be provided by the UDA.
n. "Tri-Chancellory" is the Leader of the UDA and Founder(s)
r. "Founder(s)" is the past leaders of the AIP.
3-0-0 OBJECTIVES
The Objectives of the Association are:
a. to support and promote the principles, objectives and policies of the UDA, and to maintain an effective Party for that purpose;
b. to select a candidate to represent the UDA in the Region for each Senate and/or Delegate election upon the approval of the Council;
to encourage the participation and recruitment of members;
c. to assist and promote the election of the Candidate of the UDA in the Region for each Senate and/or Delegate approved by the Council;
d. giving membering 10000 Islands Region members a choice ;
e. to actively help smaller and new nations to get their soverign states views heard within the organization and region of UDA and 10000 Islands;
f. allow members to be in a united membership, allowing voting proceedure of a collective assembly and also an open assembly vote as ordered by the Leader of the UDA;
g. to recruit members to carry out the objectives of the UDA in the Region; and,
h. to comply with the obligations, and benefit from the rights and privileges of being a membering state in the Region part of the The United Democratic Alliance Party of 10000 Islands and;
i. to uphold the consitituion of the 10000 Islands Region and the UDA Constituion as set forth by the respective members of each constitution.
